Miriam is one of the Directors of African Family Services organization (partnered with the Victorian Women’s Trust and Global Reconciliation). A graduate of Charles Sturt University, Federation University, Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors (AIPC) She is currently involved in several research projects.

Miriam has a strong passion for assisting CALD communities in accessing services that are culturally safe and culturally appropriate aligning with AFS mission- bridging the gap between mainstream services and support. Miriam is a former board member of (SHE) Sisters Housing Enterprise which assisted victims of family violence in Wagga Wagga. She has experience working with several organisations both overseas and in Australia assisting vulnerable and less privileged communities.
